I was born in Italy, but raised in Staten Island, NY. I graduated from St. John Villa Academy in 2014, and I graduated from the College of Staten Island, where I majored in mathematics, in 2018. From an early age, I had a passion for mathematics. I always dreamed of being able to share that passion through teaching. In my freshman year at CSI, I discovered the Teacher Education Honors Academy, which is specifically designed for aspiring high school math or science teachers. Being a part of this rigorous program truly gave me the opportunity to achieve my goal of becoming a high school math teacher. When I wasn't in class or studying, I enjoyed playing soccer, tutoring, and giving back to my community through volunteer work at my local church.

This fall, I will begin my teaching career as a tenure-track math teacher at Port Richmond High School.

Receiving the Harcourt Scholarship has been an honor and a blessing for me. It greatly helped me not only financially but also academically. Being a Harcourt Scholar motivated me to always work hard and succeed to the best of my ability in my studies. I take pride in being recognized as a scholar and I am very grateful for The Alfred Harcourt Foundation’s extreme generosity and continuous support in helping me achieve my goal.
